About Ice Climbing

If I'm honest - ice, alpine and mixed climbing are my favorite climbing disciplines. There's just something about swinging the ice tools and climbing an improbable frozen waterfall or topping out a frozen winter peak.

First-time ice climbers will love the short, steep flows and gullies of Connecticut and Western Massachusetts. Climbers of any ability will find rewarding ice and alpine climbing in the Catskills (NY), Adirondacks (NY) and in the Mt Washington Valley (NH). The Northeast is known for its world class ice climbing destinations.
